FAQs

Are you really full-service?

YES! We will gladly deliver your inflatables and set them up. When you’re done, we’ll come back and break everything down, clean up and be on our way. Set up usually takes about 15 minutes and tear down usually takes about 20 minutes.

Are you insured?

YES! Rockin’ Rents maintains a full coverage commercial insurance policy in the state of Missouri. We are approved by the City of Columbia on all city property, the Columbia Parks and Rec department in all city parks and Columbia Public Schools in all public schools!

How long is my rental period?

Your rental period is for as little….or as much as you need it during a day. We typically deliver in the morning and pickup in the evening. If you have an event in the event we can deliver in the evening and pickup the next morning. Just ask us!

Do I have to make a deposit?

Yes. We require a $50 deposit on all reservations to lock in your inflatable rental. Don’t fear…if you get rained out we’ll give you the deposit back.

What types of payments can I make?

Rockin’ Rents accepts Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Amex, cash, money orders and checks. Returned checks are subject to a $25 fee.

When is payment due?

After the deposit, we require payment in full at least 24 hours before your reservation. We will then come set up the unit and walk you through some safety guidelines. If your rental is on a weekend then it must be paid in full by that Friday.

Are reservations necessary?

Usually. In the peak season of April to October, you need to call us at least a week in advance, sometimes more. Of course if we have bouncers available we’ll rent to you same day or the next day too. Just give us a call, we like hearing from you!

Can I have my party at a park?

Absolutely! However, you MUST OBTAIN A SPECIAL USE PERMIT FROM THE CITY OF COLUMBIA. You can get that permit by clicking HERE. You will need to call and reserve the space sometimes too, depending on the county. Also, we may have to bring a generator if there’s no power, which we can provide for a small fee.

What if I have to cancel?

That’s totally understandable! While deposits are non-refundable (with the exception of inclement weather), we’ll gladly apply that money to a future rental. We ask the courtesy of a 1 week notice of cancellation so we can re-book.

What about weather?

Rockin’ Rents reserves the right to cancel your reservation due to inclement weather, however we’re really flexible. Where we run into problems is with safety. It’s not safe to operate the unit in the rain and it’s very dangerous in high wind or lightning. We will work with you when these things arise, so just give us a call if you’re concerned. In the case of inclement weather, you will receive a FULL REFUND on either your deposit, or your full balance if you’ve paid already.

Can you provide an attendant?

YES! For an additional charge, we will gladly have a Rockin’ Rents helper come hang out and ensure the kiddos are safe. This actually frees you up to enjoy the adult time.

Is there a cleaning fee?

We hope not! If you allow the kiddos to have food, drinks or anything that makes a real mess then we will assess a $50 cleaning fee. This is rare however and requires disregard for the rules on your part, so let’s just avoid that one! We understand some grass or dirt, that’s going to happen.

What kind of power do I need?

Just a simple household outlet will work! We ask that nothing else be plugged into it while the unit is running though.

What kind of surface can you place the bouncer on?

Ideally, a level grassy area. However we can set it up on small gravel, asphalt, concrete, sand, tile or other areas. We just use a heavy-duty tarp under it if we need to.

How much space do I need?

This one’s a little tougher. Just ask us when you call, but as a general rule, you need a few feet on each side and top of the bouncer. We’ll ask specifics when you order.

How many children can play at a time?

Depending on the size of the unit, our units will handle between 6 and 12 children at a time, depending on their sizes. When you reserve a unit, we’ll give you more specifics.

Are bounce houses safe?

YES! Rockin’ Rents upholds a strict philosophy on equipment maintenance and safety. The owners personally inspect all units when they buy them. If there are any issues, they’re sent back to the manufacturer immediately. In addition, each time a bouncer is set up and torn down it’s inspected by a Rockin’ Rents associate! Further, the owners recycle the units when they begin showing signs of significant wear. Nothing is more important than safety.

Can I just pick up the bounce house?

One word: Safety. Due to that word, we do not allow the units to be picked up. We must bring them to you, install and inspect them and walk you through some safety guidelines. Parties tend to get really sad when a loved-one gets hurt. So let us do things correctly!

Do I have to leave the unit running the whole time?

We recommend it. If you turn off the blower, it will deflate within a few minutes. That’s fine if NOBODY plays on or around it during this time. Keep in mind, these units weigh hundreds of pounds and can be very serious if it deflates on a small child. As a general rule, don’t deflate it unless it’s weather related.

What are my responsibilities?

You MUST tend to the unit at all times. Accidents and injuries are rare, but they CAN happen. It is your responsibility to ensure all safety guidelines are followed and keep all food, drinks and SILLY STRING out of the unit at all times. If you have questions, just call us!
